Between 2009 and 2012, NACSA’s Fund for Authorizing Excellence invested more than $2 million to strengthen the practices of dozens of authorizers throughout the country. NACSA’s grantmaking program provided authorizers from California to Delaware with the resources to evaluate authorizing practices, engage in strategic planning processes and take on specific initiatives to improve practices. Cumulatively, these investments impacted more than 1,800 charter schools and more than 600,000 charter school students.
